In reply to the discussion: Slut shaming of Miley Cyrus is sexism and racism in action [View all]one_voice
(20,043 posts)Using that here here cheapens it. We don't need to rush out and defend every woman that is criticized by screaming sexism, slut shaming, etc.
She knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted this reaction. You don't grind, air hump, stick your face in someone ass then spank it, simulate 'fingering' yourself, all while having your tongue hanging out and not expect people (some) to be shocked.
She wanted to be in the news cycle the next day, she did better she's still being talked about. Her song is till at the top of the charts and she's sitting at home not giving a shit.
I don't think she should be called those horrible names but there is not slut shaming.
As for the men you listed, if there was a 24hr news cycle and an internet, you would have heard about Elvis, Mick, and certainly KISS' satanic make-up.
Even if Mick, Elvis ect didn't do what they did, if Miley wanted to prance around with teddy bears that's her right and she really doesn't have to defend or justify it to anyone. Turn the channel if you don't like it.
