(14,549 posts)The opinion piece keeps referring to "apparent use of chemical weapons" and that seems a bit vague.
If we are jumping in to bomb the shit out of yet another country, shouldn't we at least know at this point more specifically WHICH chemical weapons?
Knowing exactly which chemical weapons, if any, were used would take us a long way toward knowing where they came from. If we don't even know whether it was VX or sarin or mustard or chlorine based then we don't know shit.
Which sides troops had masks or other protection on at the time it happened?
These seem like basic questions. The fact that the writer ignores them would imply that this isn't about investigating and thinking but rather it is about selling this war by tying it to Obama's more likeable personality.
