But I think she realized her time was up. Teapublicans were going to gun for her in the primaries and Democrats understand the value of this seat in Congress...she was elected on a bi-partisan basis in the past, but I think she'd have had a rough re-election campaign. At her age, I suspect she just wasn't up for the stress of another re-election campaign. I think a strong Democrat who supports a woman's right to choose will do well this cycle, considering Obama's coat-tails should carry this state. We elected George Mitchell as US Senator...no reason we can't put another Democrat in there.
