It has been tried many times since 1776 and it is not about slavery. From what I know it is about states trying to make their own laws contrary to federal laws. Like medical marijuana. What is the new law that La passed that allows criminals to have guns? (As if criminals care about laws)

I don't understand your argument linking the right to keep and bear arms to slavery. It makes no sense.

If there is a civil war about gun ownership, it would have to be anti-gun group leaving the union. It wouldn't be much of a war since they don't have guns.
