60. FYI, I alerted on your post because I find it incredibly offensive.

I believe calling out another DUer and playing "purity police" is the height of unmitigated gall and your post should be hidden if not self-removed.

Apparently the jury disagreed with me. It happens.

So, let me address your comments.

a) The poster has a UNION icon. That is a LIBERAL concept, and means the poster belongs here.

b) "not everyone in this community has had good experiences with police officers" - I am personally offended by this. MANY people on DU have had good experiences with police officers. The same statement with "drug users", "military personnel" or "doctors" would be equally offensive, and in my opinion DOES NOT BELONG ON DU.

c) "You are now in a Liberal forum" - REALLY? Now you don't think the poster can read? And the follow up about the gungeon is again insulting - my stance on gun control is pretty well known, but SHOCK TO THE WORLD, other liberal/progressive Democrats have different opinions, and in a perfect world, we actually TALK ABOUT IT WITH EACH OTHER, and address the issues (like the epidemic of mass shootings).

d) "Is there some good reason" - when did Skinner appoint you gatekeeper to our systems? Did I miss the public announcement? The terms for joining this board are pretty clearly spelled out by the MODERATORS, and the post does NOT violate them. Your insulting comments are beyond inappropriate, and as I said, I personally find them offensive.

e) You are publicly accusing this poster of being a Troll. If you were actually concerned, you would have either sent a PM to the poster, or to the moderators addressing the issue. You could have tried to find a post that violated the terms of service, alerted on it, and had MIRT checking things out. You didn't. You *publicly* made this post, and frankly, it makes DU look bad.

You don't want unionized public servants here? Seriously? Backbones of the Democratic party, and you don't want them on DU?
