1. While that's good, lets wait till the budget and debt ceiling bills are passed before celebrating

Things can (and likely will) easily change in the polls, especially the longer this shutdown lasts. The trends do seem pretty good for us so far though on the CR and budget.

On the debt ceiling though the numbers are much more narrow, and it seems like a large part of the public doesn't even understand what the debt ceiling is and what the consequences are of breaching it, democrats have only an 8 point lead over the GOP there for who the public sides with, rather than a 20+ point lead like on the CR and budget.


I don't know about you, but today I've honestly started to get worried for the first time that the house Republicans are crazy enough to actually let us breach the debt ceiling given how they keep on claiming that they have more leverage there.
