The government is shut down because the president won't kill his signature accomplishment.

If Boehner declares the Hastert Rule dead, 25 Republicans plus all the Democrats (or 50 Republicans plus all the Democrats who don't come from GOP hellholes) will solve this crisis the old fashioned way.
