(53,661 posts)42. Glad to hear this after discussing it at a gathering tonight, some thought he'd made a deal.
And everyone was furious at the GOP threatening their retirement and the care of people they know, and the veterans as well.
Not only from the debt ceiling, but the shutdown and the sequester!
(And I got another solution to get into Obamacare at no extra monthly cost.)

If/when the Senate one year debt limit is passed by both houses, it will be signed.

It seems to me, Obama is requiring both before negotiating on financial and economic policies.
