Smokers are charged a lot more because they raise all rates.
So that door is open. Why shouldn't those that eat foods that cause heart disease, high cholesterol or other known problems pay more? And why stop there? Insurance companies effectively run the health industry now. You can bet they will be busy thinking up new ways to save money.
That's one of the biggest problems with the ACA. It does next to nothing to actually bring down the absurdly high cost of health CARE.
