I'm payroll and benefits admin for a school district. One of our teachers, a known Republican (his whole nice lifestyle is thanks to unions, major cognitive dissonance here) came into my office the minute he could add his 24-year-old son to his insurance because of "that Obama crap". I make a point of never discussing politics at work but he probably saw the steam coming out of my ears.
