11. My B-I-L, a retired public school teacher, is an unmitigated Right Wing Nut.

When I pointed out to him that he'd been paid by taxpayers all his career and now was being paid by them for retirement, he went ballistic. He pointed out that he's not lazy like other people who are paid by taxpayers. When I ask for examples, it always boils down to racism.

He's Scot-Irish heritage, the rest of his family hav been on one form or another of unemployment, disability, welfare, good stamps, for decades but he says "That's different".

Oh well, as they say here in the South "Bless his heart".
