Nov 2013

One of the things that irritates me the most is the whining coming from conservatives who apparently suddenly discovered that insurance premiums RISE. . .except none of them every opened their mouths for the last 30 years while our entire health care system became subjugated by a cabal of profit-hungry "insurance" corporations whose goals are to minimize payouts on any claims.

This country didn't get to a point where 18% of our national wealth goes into the pockets of health care providers and the corporate "insurance" middlemen because of the ACA - and if conservatives had been willing to DO anything about this problem for the last 30 years (besides try to line the pockets of the do-nothing profiteering private "socialized" insurance corporations) there wouldn't be so many issues with the system today.

It is a national embarrassment that the leading cause of bankruptcies in this nation are due to staggering health care costs - and that the American people are held hostage by the everchanging whims of big insurance companies which Republicans strongly refused to regulate (after all, THEY are entitled to make a profit, the working American is (apparently) NOT) And it is so outrageous for me to see whining conservatives suddenly discovering they have to actually PAY for something.

I am increasingly beginning to believe that Republicans themselves are the ultimate "welfare queens."
