(1,110 posts)If I was in the same situation as you, and I found myself paying that much of any increase because of a law, I'd have little issue with taking the time to sanitize my stuff so it can safely be posted online to support my argument. It would just make sense for my own cause to do that, because I'd be trying to convince people to see things from my point of view.
So I find it difficult to simply swallow all these claims that don't come with any sort of backing. Particularly since my personal experiences do not suggest massive increases like some claim. I will have a slight increase in my premium, but it will be for significantly better coverage than what I have now. The few others I spoke to seem to have similar stories too. I know someone who hasn't had insurance for years because they had pre-existing issues and their employer didn't offer health insurance. In his case, he couldn't get private health insurance that he could possibly afford. He can finally get something he can afford and he knows he will be covered.
But if you're being screwed, you should have every right to express your frustration, but you should also be willing to show us some documented proof of your claim.
