That is, if he's capable of embarrasment, or if any of his followers care.

The reason that Doris Kearns Goodwin suffered as much as she did over an unattributed passage (which iirc she blamed on an errant 3X5 card) is that she is a serious historian/commenter and has standards -- as do her peers. She really paid for that lapse.

Rand is or may be operating in a post-academic-standards universe in which Wikipedia is an extension of your brain and doesn't have to be cited. Or something. There certainly seems to be some combination of ignorance, arrogance, and entitlement at work.

We'll see how this plays out.
