2014 is a hell of a lot more important that 2016 [View all]

We need to hold the Senate. We need to take back the House or at least increase the number of dem reps.

I'm far more concerned about the 2014 elections than I am about the Presidential election of 2016.

There are more than a few vulnerable democrats and the thought of republicans having control of both houses is not a reassuring one.

Republicans need to gain six seats to take over the Senate.

These dems are vulnerable:

Mark Pryor- Arkansas

Kay Hagan- NC

Mary Landrieu- Lousiana Landrieu is always considered vulnerable and manages to win. This year, I think, she has a real battle on her hands

In Montana, Baucus is retiring and that seat will likely go R

In SD, Tim Johnson is retiring. That seat will go R

In WV Rockefeller is retiring and that seat will also likely go to the repubs

So really, repubs only need to fight for three Senate seats to take over the Senate. That's a scary thought

Dems need to gain 17 seats to take control of the House- and that's a tall order.
