20. It was... let me confess what happened that Christmas...

Okay, my mother and I would sit up at night on the sofa and look at the Christmas tree with all the lights. We saw him sitting up like a person, unafraid, looking up at the lights, for few nights in a row.

My mother pointed out to me the way he was acting, it seemed natural to us. It was just one of those things, you know. He wasn't dirty or anything, just a little gray mouse that came in from the prairie.

Sadly, my brother, being practical or protective or whatever, put a mousetrap out and he met his end. I remember running to my mother the next morning yellling:

'Mother! He killed Mighty Mouse! He killed Mighty Mouse!'

And so it went. We were really into television in those days, got up and watched the test signal in the mornings, LOL.
