They had no slick posters. Just a hand drawn sign. Two women obviously on their own dime. For once not the scouts or the boosters, no cookies for sale. This table at the dump was not taking spare change. Just a simple petition, just sign on the line. A town warrant was what they had in mind.

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United and other related cases, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.

It will only be efforts like this, us, we the people, organizing at the grass roots level, with no media anointed leaders, no funding, no help from above, that will bring about the fundamental changes that are required to reverse the course we are on.
