(10,789 posts)I'm currently studying toward a chemistry exam myself, and I think Boyle's Law is one of the more interesting and simple ones. It does lend itself to a direct conceptual understanding, and there is only the relation of two aspects to grasp. Its a good opportunity to practice the math as well...My own daughters are in about the same place - one in 9th grade, studying science and geometry (here they do two years of algebra in junior high), and my older one also took plenty of math and science in 9th and 10th grade.
Perhaps I tend to look on the bright side, but I've always enjoyed learning things like that, working out problems, and learning new things. If you can instill that enjoyment of learning in a kid, just add "time" and the battle is all but won.
