I'm giving 20 bucks apiece to my niece and nephew, and that will be all of my Christmas spending this year. It's pathetic that Americans feel the need to save money so much that they go out into that melee. Black Friday wasn't that big a deal when I was growing up, but then again, the economy wasn't so shitty either. People actually made enough to live on and could pay full price for their presents.
