21. I watched a battle on TV the other night and was aghast when they showed some dead horses.

I gasped in horror at the poor horses...but several men had also been killed or blown up and I said nothing. And that's not when I was a kid...but today! I just can't stand when an animal is killed or mistreated. I'm ashamed to say when I saw a starving child in one of those ads to help children...I actually felt worse and wanted to donate when I saw a starving skin and bone dog. I've often wondered what's the matter with me that I seem to empathize more for animals than for humans.
