(2,004 posts)She is with the Coalition for the Homeless. She had some very interesting ideas that would be very challenging to the powers that be in New York. Then right after that show, this whole outrage over insults exchanged with a "professional" celeb stalker blows up. I think the progressive community got played with this one. Baldwin has always had a reputation as a hot head so it seems he was an easy target to take out when he crossed the line and gave real air time to someone whose ideas were not properly sanitized to not step on the toes of the money people.
Baldwin should watch his mouth, but really this seemed to be blown up way out of proportion. I think we should be far more outraged about the proliferation of ridiculous celebrity gossip that takes the place of real information. These people who sell their souls for a quick buck that stalk celebrities are just cogs in the wheels of power to distract and obfuscate from who are the real enemies of ordinary people. These lackeys deserve contempt and should be ignored. That is what Baldwin should have done and not helped that creep by giving him ammunition to use against Baldwin.
I am sad that the show was stopped. He was getting better in his interview style. It was something different and much better than the crap MSNBC will play instead. It was so much better than the endless replays of Limbaugh and Palin that all the MSNBC shows play over and over again. People have a hard time focusing on real conversation which makes it hard to try something different.
