In reply to the discussion: Alec Baldwin has been fired from MSNBC [View all]VanillaRhapsody
(21,115 posts)63. I don't believe in a moment of anger MOST people have never said something
ugly to their children that they later regretted. Also, said its' an unrealistic standard that MOST people cannot live up to...nobody is perfect ...even HappyHippyChick. That is the point I was trying to make.
AND that was during a VERY acrimonious custody battle With Kim Basinger who was the one that even released it publicly. And unless HappyHippyChick has been through one...she has no idea what it would be like to fight to have a few moments on the phone with your kid.
Good grief is right.

May be an unpopular opinion but I have detested that man ever since he called his daughter a pig.

Yes I have NEVER called my kids or husband a name. It can be done when one has self control.

I couldn't care less if you don't believe it, it's true, and it isn't about perfection.

Well perhaps his parents are no longer living...what you described is hardly typical is it?

Hopefully, Alec can now get the help he needs re: anger management. I did like the show, tho.

I have always trusted that feeling I get in my gut that something is not right.
