25. His job as Senate Majority Leader

It's the responsibility of the head of the DSCC to handle the GE not the majority leader
Majority Leaders, to my knowledge, have never campaigned against Minority Leaders and vice-verse.
So unless you consider one of the nastiest majority leaders Lyndon Baines Johnson to be a wimp, you're just gonna have to accept being angry about it or keep screaming about how everyone who doesn't see it your way is a wimp.
Run for Senate. Try getting elected majority or minority leader on that platform, you and your single vote will feel nice and cozy in the seventh seat to the left of the Committee Chairman
