(68,224 posts)4. I always worked in nonprofits so I never got a bonus.
Now that I'm retired I have decided that in terms of priority anyone who does work directly for me, such as my house helper, should get priority, right after my family members, for a holiday present. I need and depend on their help, now that my husband and I are older and really need the help we get.

Never got a bonus. Union contract, annual COLA for all workers, period. Only management got them. nt

Wait... you mean Christmas bonuses are an actual thing? I thought they were some Hollywood myth. nt

my company puts a little extra in our 401k if we have a decent year. That is our bonus.

My Christmas bonus is knowing I only have 7 more days until my vacation allotment renews
