An oldie but a goodie [View all]

An elderly gentleman approached the White House gates. As he did so, a uniformed secret service officer walked up to him on the othe side and asked what he could do for him.

"I'd like to see President Bush, please."

The secret service officer told him, "George W. Bush is no longer president of the United States."

The elderly man smiled and walked away.

The next day, that same elderly man was back at the White House gates, and again the secret service officer asked what he could do for him.

"I'd like to see President Bush, please."

The secret service officer looked bemused and said, "Sir, I already told you yesterday...George W. Bush is no longer president of the United States. Did you forget?"

The old man replied, "No, I just like hearing you say that."
