9. Somebody's woo got gored

You can slide from the mainstream all you like. That is after all how innovation occurs. Ignoring the scientific method and refusing to apply critical thinking however, that is just ignorance and it really doesn't deserve respect. There is a MASSIVE difference between thinking outside of the current box and just believing in something because you want to.

Then again, I do not know what specifically you are referring to so it's possible the criticism was undeserved. Feel free to throw a little light on the subject.
