(28,784 posts)and the rationale made for rude behavior is other people. or someone isn't "popular." that's a strange way to interpret people noting someone twists others' words, or attacks them on that basis, or goes through threads insulting people, for months, and then feigns surprise when a meta thread by that same person is greeted with groans.
if someone twists others' words and, in response, someone loses her or his temper over this tactic, the person doing the goading then alerts, or someone does who agrees with the person goading.
I know this happens because I have been called for a few juries lately where this very tactic has been used by one person. repeatedly.
the juries have chosen not to hide the post made by the person being goaded - and, rather than accept that jurors are saying people are being trolled here with this tactic, the one or those doing it claim it's someone else's fault... it's misogyny. it's not. It is dislike for someone who comes here and attacks others constantly.
