..or is it we, the tax-paying public?
Figure, he gets sued for a few thousand, maybe even hundred thousand. The police department has some insurance to cover for these thugs posing as "protectors of the public", and then the department picks up the tab. OR, the insurance pays it all, and the premiums keep going up; cause we all know insurance companies work "on a profit".
Then, the dept has a tighter budget, which in turns means less protection on the streets, which in turn means more crime. Hence, this is a vicious cycle that just continues to screw the public tax payer and the citizens of these communities. How disgusting.
What am I missing?
