39. Well, thinking of my own group of friends

some are with partners the same age and the others are within the range you mention.

There is one friend of a friend who is in his early forties but he always seems to pick someone in their early twenties (and has done since he was in his early twenties).

It's slightly amusing to the rest of us, i.e. that as he grows older, the age of his partners never changes, but we don't make too much of a big deal about it.
