This does look exactly what my wife and I went through. Her PPD was so dramatic that she started self medicating with Alcohol almost immediately. This then had a doubling effect of awaking a dormant Alcoholism that ran through her entire family. Trapping her in that spiraling disease that so all consuming. It has damaged our Marriage and entire life in every aspect. Treatment and help are woefully inadequate and many times punitive, contributing to the suffering of all. My wife has finally turned a significant corner 4 and a half years later. My Wife and Children have been so fundamentally changed by this, that it will effect them for all their lives.
I hope this young woman gets the help she needs and does not have to suffer a long road back.
