16. I can understand the ban, really.

Context is important and that particular word, from a black player, directed at another black player "fuck you think you were doing on that last play, ------?" or "damn, ------, that was a beautiful interception" has a different force, context and meaning than coming from a white player. Only the NFL has a problem if they say "it's okay for these players to say this and not those" because there'll be predictable accusations of double standards and even that old favourite "reverse racism". (Contrast this with the English Premier League where a player, John Terry, who is white, received a 4-match ban and a £220K fine...around US$350K...for "racial abuse" for calling another player a "black c---".)
