At what point will gun violence become so bad that ALL guns rights will be revoked? [View all]

Do we really have to get to a point where the sound of gunfire at night becomes as common as, say, Baghdad circa 2005?

The increasing volume of gun sales and the percieved need to use said guns under increasingly flimsy circumstances tells me that that day is not far off at all.
