The religious extremists have been hard at work. We can't counter them with one debate or one (or 13) TV shows. But these things a really important. People of intelligence have to stand up and insist that scientific fact be taken seriously. We have to do this every day. We must marginalize the voices of ignorance whether they be Louie Gohmert, Sarah Palin, the Creation Museum, Pat Robertson, the Texas/Kansas book burners or anybody else.

Hats off to both Tyson and Nye. And we need scientists from all quarters to join the battle.
