Hysterical and hysterically funny, all at once.
I happened to be awake in the wee small hours so turned on CNN just before tottering off to bed. I was only going to peep at the world for a moment, but that particular moment was when the stock exchanges around the world tanked. My jaw dropped. Nikkei. Hong Kong. The rolling disaster report as the dawn came to other parts of the world than mine.
With Richard Quest reporting. He came unglued. It was like watching the clown car at the circus. My absolutely favorite line was: "This is the end of capitalism!!!!!!!" 
I laughed out loud at the sheer presumptuousness of such a statement -- and answered back, "No it's not, you fool." The end of a lot of poor souls' life savings, which was no laughing matter -- but not the end of capitalism, ever.
Without ever know the piece of salacious gossip you just posted, I have never looked at Quest the same since. I just keep waiting to see if he will ever again rise to the level of his Stock Market Crash performance.
