Yesterday I used the contraction "etc." in an OP. I now understand that this was a really insensitive thing to do, and I want my friends here to know I'll work hard to do better in the future.
I've let you down, and I'm sorry.

This was insensitive to Windows file systems that don't use /etc as a directory.
