In the long run, progress ALWAYS wins. They know this so they are trying to rig the game and halt progress. They will fail.
Look at history.
100 years ago, where were we? No civil rights, no unions, no child labor laws, no social programs etc.
Progress always wins in the long run. Civilizations progress and build on past progress. Yes, civilizations crumble and fall, but then new one's are built on top of the old and progress continues.
The USSC decision is a bad one, it is a step in the wrong direction. But it is only one step back in the grand scheme.
"The moral arc of the universe is long, but it bends towards justice."
MLK was not a naive man, and I firmly believe in the truth of these words.

Notice how ONLY the Dems who voted against them are listed. 17 Dems voted FOR Alito eg, and more

Correct, this is a desperate, reactionary decision becasue they recognize they are losing

Hopefully people who thought Bush and Gore were the same have by now come to their senses.

If that's why you believe you exist, then I suspect that's true for you, but not for me

Thanks to the administrators of DU, there is still some sane commentary to be found here.
