(9,796 posts)I still get my nicotine fix and the hand-to-mouth repetitive motion but without most of teh horrible chemicals in tobacco and in a nice selection of flavours (my main flavours are a heavy tobacco, cherry and cinnamon).
I'm hesitant to recommend brands since I'm a Brit (this is the one I got). What I will say is that if you try out disposables, do so only to see if you can get used to the sensation. Then, if you can get used to it, buy yourself a decent battery and charger (preferably with an eGo coupling), some clearomisers (combination liquid resevoir and atomiser) and a few bottles of liquids in flavours you want to try. Stick to fairly small bottles at first since your tastes might well change quickly once your taste buds start working properly again. It's a slightly different sensation but you quickly get used to it. Don't buy cheap liquids from newstands and similar, they will taste foul. The brands put out by Big Tobacco pretty much all suck. Look online and you'll find much better liquids in virtually any flavour.
Good luck, dude!
