The crack about service workers not interrupting a texting session to help a customer.

While I don't support poor service, I can at least understand it if the worker is being paid minimum wage. The attitude may likely be one of "Hey, my employer doesn't value the work I do, why should I?"

I've said for years: 'If you pay minimum wage, you're gonna get minimum effort.'
