Married: Karl Rove and Karen Johnson, in a small, under-the-radar wedding in Austin late last month. The nuptials of the Republican mega-strategist, 61, and the lobbyist, who is in her mid-40s, were first noted in passing in a Politico story about his dealings with casino billionaire and campaign donor Steve Wynn, who apparently flew the newlyweds to Naples on his jet. The groom would give us no other details on the wedding.

Rove and Johnson have been quietly dating for a couple of years, according to Texas pals. It’s the third marriage for Rove, who was divorced in 2009 from Darby Rove, with whom he has a son.

I knew Mehlman was gay when he was out campaigning against his community by approving the homophobic campaign of '04. There's nothing wrong with my gaydar.
