12. I don't think you understand how this app works

It isn't "always on". Facebook doesn't turn it on. The user does, when they want to use it. Even then it only records a brief snippet, and the sounds it records are not stored.

Of course, the data about what song or TV show is being watched IS archived, and that is more info than I would like to give away. I would never use this thing. But it isn't the super secret spy on everything you do and say device you seem to think it is.
