The Empire State Building has been struck hundreds of times. Barns sometimes have lightning attractors attached to them for the sole purpose of giving the lightning something to hit over and over again instead of the barn itself.
People still say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice. I hear people say it all the time and it irritates me.
