(94,218 posts). . . by a republican message team. This isn't some Clinton-generated release of this 'info', it's an orchestrated attempt to divide the party against Clinton. It's been stirring around for a week or so now waiting for some enterprising Democrat to make it part of their campaign against Hillary.
You can't actually believe the one who reported this really thinks there's going to be some collusion of republicans with Hillary, but it fits right into the narrative here - no matter that Clinton has one of the most liberal overall records among her Democratic peers.
What she's reported to have said, whenever she was supposed to say it, is nothing more than rhetorical nicety for the political ear. It had nothing to do with Clinton's actual strategy. It's just something engineered and designed to inflame. We used to call it flamebait here. Now it's just political fodder for folks with a grudge; no matter where it originates to the person taking advantage of it; mission accomplished for the original messenger.
