42. Their religion is based upon the New Testament. Jesus teaching that the laws and all of the prophets

are subsumed under these Two Great Commandments:

First, love God with your whole heart, soul and mind.
Second, love your neighbor as yourself.

Not to mention the OT's Sixth Commandment of the Ten Commendments -- "Thou shalt not commit murder."

So, quoting a few tidbits from the Biblical buffet can help OTHER less than pure Christians defend fundamentalism, but not Jesus' laws above. Remember that their vote record and politics continually break the Second Great Commandment, and they know it. They just hope their rabid base will overlook that.

In the last half of the Koran, whose practice is privileged over the more 'peace' base of the first half, the call is for jihad and the killing of apostates. No such written call is made in the Christianity New Testament.
