I'd better clean out my sock drawer. _(kidding)

Thanks for this post, pintobean. I didn't read it as gravedancing so much as informational... I saw it as your way of making a DU public service announcement to let everyone know that ONE MORE long time DUer has jumped the track.

I don't have access to mirt and host cliques so I would not have known about Whisp, without your post; so, thanks again.

DU is not better off without Whisp. I hope she works it out with admin and comes back soon. DU cannot afford to lose another longstanding member of this community.

The old adage, "You are only as strong as your weakest link," is a warning that DU would do well to heed. The recent hemorrhaging of democratic oldtimers, juxtaposed by the influx of newbie trolls, has negatively affected DU's community chain; making it decidedly weaker and more rickety.

Trolls are populating DU as if someone had left the gate open. Meanwhile, long time, dedicated members of this community appear to be increasingly missing in action. Not a good trend...
