Who counted the votes? Was the count done in total secrecy? Did anybody bother to ck to make sure the count was correct? Was there even any paper to count?

I personally think GA is a poster child for why you don't want to have the votes counted on electronic voting machines.

In 2009, Germany decided to ditch the machines because, as they decided after a lengthy case before the constitutional court, you can't count the votes in secret and provide no way for the average voter to feel confident of the result and still call yourself a democracy. I think Barnes probably won in 2002, but of course there's no way to know if I'm right or wrong. When these machines are used, usually there's no way to know one way or the other.

I'll be pulling for Nunn, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
