5. That's pretty much it, in a nutshell. But there are plenty of Whites who don't subscribe to the

scorched-Earth, White-privilege strategy, and to them, I say with all of my heart and all of my soul ... thank you on behalf of all minorities in this country.

You are the Americans who keep it real and give minorities a voice in our democracy, who have campaigned, fought, paid, bled, and even had lost loved ones in our quest for equality for all. You have been there, right beside us, courageous and unstoppable, and that makes you true Americans - the ones everyone around the world has come to admire, love, and even idolize.
