The man was pretty hardworking, smart, and knew how to get things done in Washington.

Sure. He wouldn't be a liberal, but compared to these nuts in the GOP now President Nixon would be considered a moderate - and not have a chance in hell of being nominated by the Ghoulish Old Party.
