the end of my mother's life last October, though my mom suffered a massive heart attack.

My mom was also in an induced coma and had to be brought out so neurological tests could be done and she failed those tests.

As I'm sure Mr. Rivers' daughter had to do, that of deciding to "pull the plug", I also had to decide with my family. Mom had a DNR and did not want to be kept alive by machines. We honored that wish.
