I understand what you are saying. If in fact this person is demonstrating his allegiance to a certain "cause", I can also understand that people may find this irritating.
I do not understand the overbearing arrogance demonstrated by most reactions here. Of course, they may take for granted that the guarantee of free speech doesn't allow for "doing something" - other than engaging in arguments (not very likely) or in propaganda against the terrorists. They may well feel the latter will be the way to go, Fox News and CNN will take care of it, that's what we have them for, after all.
