9. Last week I took a detour

Last week, on the way to the garden center, I took a detour because of road construction. The lay of the land was typical of the far suburbs of Pittsburgh...farm, house, house, mcmansion, bigger mcmansion, house, farm, farm, and HOLY DEAR GOD WHAT'S THAT!?!?!

It was like suddenly coming across the Biltmore Estate in the suburbs. Biggest damn house I've ever seen that wasn't a museum. Here's a Web site that shows the place--it's at the bottom of the page:

When people can start building private houses that look like the Biltmore Estate and are bigger than most apartment buildings, they have too damn much money.
